Behind the Scenes: How to Optimize Your Budget

We had a great time designing Rupal and Tik’s wedding. Utilizing the pergola, we created a rustic and welcoming environment with reclaimed wooden pedestals, lanterns, and a wide range of floral centerpieces to develop a minimalistic, yet elegant look.

Budgeting your wedding can be a stressful espeically when you have your dream decor in mind. We wanted to show you how to optimize your budget with a couple key concepts.

First, we evaluated the space for the ceremony and reception. The pergola had brown wood like tones, which we took to our advantage to create the rustic feel. For the reception, we wanted an elegant floral concept to create a garden-like look. Rupal mentioned her love for lanterns. We used this statement piece to create the vibe she was looking for!

Once we understood the venue space and the couple’s vision, we accounted for the non-negotiable items such as florals, fluff centerpieces, chairs, and lanterns. The key to follow a budget is the reusability of each item. Our team worked hard to readjust and replenish the florals after the first ceremony. (It was humid that day, which put a lot of stress on the flowers.) We also added a variation between high and low centerpieces for the reception, which provides a better visual contrast to the eye. Finally, we highlighted the lanterns in the wedding aisle way and centerpieces for the reception.

The key to planning your dream decor is to figure out your must-haves. Once that is established, your dream wedding is in your hands!
